How many shopping days until Christmas?
I am not one of those people that counts down the days ’til Christmas, so I don’t know how many “sleeps” it is until the magical day where you can legitimately drink champagne for breakfast and no matter how much you eat it’s OK, because calories don’t count on December 25th. I also don’t know how many shopping days remain, or how late you can buy something online and still receive it in time.
What I do know, is that the savvy shopper is already giving their gifts some serious thought. After all Christmas must be close, It seems an age since I heard a firework or smelt a bonfire!
Anyone who knows me will be aware that I tend to have my festive shopping done by mid June. This year I’ve had two distractions, very cute and very demanding ones. Therefore, my focus has shifted and my organisation has suffered a considerable blow…until now, now I’ve gotten my act together. Keep reading to discover my suggestions for great gifts for the big day.
The Perfect Christmas Gifts for Dad:
If yours is anything like mine, Dads are a conundrum…not particularly forthcoming with hints and they seem to have everything already. So you end up with the “practical” gift. This is why it is often joked about in our house when Dad receives another pair of socks. Hardly exciting. Unless you gift Henry J Socks. These socks are the gift that keeps on giving. Bang on trend, with beautiful bright prints and luxurious fabrics. The best thing…these can be given as a sock subscription, that’s new socks delivered on a monthly basis for up to 12 months. Plus, they come in the cutest packages.
The Perfect Christmas Gifts for Mum:
I love the concept of personalisation, it says “this is especially for you and you alone”, it also screams exclusivity and luxury with brands such as Burberry and Luis Vuitton stocking fabulous items that can be monogrammed (pictured below-images taken from official sites).
Another total gem of a company is Check Me Out Design(link), they make stunning woven scarves using the ultimate in high-end materials (cashmere and merino), not only high-end but also ethically sourced (which is hard to find).
The colours are stunning, my favourite is pictured below. Inspired by the colours of the London tube network. These scarves are not fast fashion, more elegant and timeless (just like mum) they also come beautifully boxed. What’s more, they too can be monogrammed. A truly personal gift, that any Mother, Sister (or Brother as they are unisex) would be delighted to receive.
The lovely Holly at “Check Me Out Design” has very kindly offered my readers 10% discount with my unique code: JENUINESTYLE
If you are looking for something with a slightly lower price-point that still screams luxury try Hoochi Mama jewellery- don’t be put off by the name- it is a lot more elegant than it sounds, I am lucky enough to be an affiliate of the brand and personally love the Rose Gold “Mama” collection (pictured). If you’ve already bought a gift for mum then you could always treat yourself, Christmas shopping is hard work after all.
The Perfect Gift for your Husband or Boyfriend:
Is he a tech-obsessed, inspector gadget type? What about the Amazon Echo £149.99 this smart home system allows you to “ask Alexa” questions, you can also play music and control lighting etc. Unfortunately as far as I can tell it won’t get him to pick his socks up off the floor, but if it gets him to at least turn lights off as he leaves a room then maybe it will get us half-way to housetrained!!!
Is he a food & drink nut? The Food Market is an online store and my go to place for organic produce from independent merchants. They have an abundance of luxury food/drink hampers (a small selection of the huge variety available are pictured below) from relatively small budgets to much larger ones. The company is awesome, they have fabulous customer service and such amazing choice- Highly recommended.
The Perfect Christmas Gift for your Wife or Girlfriend:
High stakes gifting, this needs to tick a lot of boxes. It needs to be personal and special. Tempted to get something “useful” or “practical”? Don’t! Unless you intend to accompany said gift with something personal, that demonstrates how well you know her and how much you listen. I couldn’t possibly suggest such a gift, but I can suggest something that will score you some serious bonus points and maybe some wiggle room if you are unable to execute the “perfect gift”- Why not buy your lovely lady a luxury advent calendar, I have put together a selection ranging from £35-£280.
I bought myself the Marks and Spencer Luxury Beauty Calendar as at £35 (when spending £35) and containing £250 worth of luxury products I found it to be the best value- the only issue is my willpower is taking some serious testing as all I want to do is open every drawer!
Office Secret Santa-Mini gifts (cute stocking fillers):
Coconut Lane offer an amazing selection of items from jewellery to laptop skins, all at amazing value and perfectly on trend. You can also get 20% off with my unique code: JENUINE20.
How are you getting on with your festive shopping? Do you love it or loathe it? Any top tips for special gifts? Have you tried any of the products I’ve mentioned? I’d love to hear your thoughts.
I wish you all a wonderful festive period .
With special thanks to Check Me Out Designs, Hoochi Mama, The Food Market.com, Coconut Lane and Puni Puni for not only your co-operation but also your fabulous products!
