Do you remember as a child, listening to your “portable” CD in the back of the car? Every-time the driver hit a bump and your tracks would skip? Now times have changed and kids can listen to music through noise cancelling headphones, played via a mobile phone, using an app, whilst simultaneously gaming to their hearts content. They’ll never know the struggle. Fortunately, one industry that is growing almost as rapidly as tech’ is the Beauty Industry. In today’s post, I’m sharing scientifically advanced skincare – the best of the best products I use on my skin.
The Scientifically Advanced Gadget:
Durable, easy to clean, multi-speed function, quiet vibration, rechargeable…. Yes, I am describing my favourite toy and no, I’m not having a Samantha (Sex in the City) moment (if you know, you know).
With Micro-Sonic technology and non-replaceable, naturally antibacterial PurO Silicone, this cleansing brush is not only baby bottom level on the smooth scale, it also delivers a great deep cleanse (FYI, this device delivers 8000 Micro-Sonic Pulsations p/min- Perfect if you want to win the battle of “my sonic cleanser pulses more than yours“). This scientifically advanced skincare device delivers skin that is brighter, softer and is the secret behind my new found glow.
What’s more, this little guy doesn’t discriminate. Whatever your skin type he has got a mode and zone for you (3 zones to be precise – for different skin areas or types oily/normal, dry/sensitive, massage). Perfect, if like me, your skin has more personalities than Bruce Banner.
The Scientifically Advanced Skincare:
Science is in the name of this one and for good reason. Rigorous research and skill goes into the Media Beauty range. I was kindly gifted the Hydra Fill and Vita Long Oil. Both are exceptional products and both carry a fairly hefty price tag. IMO you get what you pay for, the hydra fill is the consistency of unset jelly and in the words of Destiny’s Child…. “I don’t think you’re ready for this Jelly” One application and the results are instant – Photoshop for real life. Bye Bye early signs of skin ageing.
Now, in case you don’t believe me, the Science can do the talking. Hydra-fill is essential for dry, dehydrated and damaged skin. It contains Hyaluronic acid and this allows the skin to retain moisture and is the reason for its instantly firming effects. Sodium hyaluronate penetrates the deeper skin layers, this intensifies blood circulation and encourages the absorption of nutrients. Tamarind works to improve elasticity and also has properties that protect the skin from UV damage.
The Scientifically Advanced Alternative:
The CODE SSL Soft Smooth Lip Liner and Lip intense plumper are the ultimate power couple, as in George and Amal who? Kinda A List. This duo is a safe alternative to lip fillers. Your lips, only fuller and more defined without the commitment, risk and cost of surgical/injectable lip fillers.
The lip liner is one of my makeup bag staples. It’s a ride or die product for me. Firstly, it is self-sharpening (I know, I’m totally sold on that… Who can ever find the time to sharpen their lip/eye pencils? Not me…Yawn!) and what’s more, the shade is a universally flattering deep, dusky nude blush shade. It’s blend-able and therefore can achieve a naturally contoured look. It’s a lip liner, lipstick and lip plumper all in one (filling your lips in with this pencil actually stimulates collagen).
HOW I APPLY:
Step 1) Line the lips: starting in the middle, line your lips using small strokes.
Step 2) Vertical lines: After lining, I add vertical lines, these create the perfect base for your lipstick and makes the most of the lip plumping ingredient.
Step 3) Blend either with a lipstick brush or by dabbing with a ring finger or rubbing your lips together. Follow with the CODE lip plumper or any lipstick you choose.
